Energy / Enneagram / Astrology ✧ABOUT✧

Enneastrology is all about you (and others!)
The prefix en means within — and that's perhaps the best place for your journey to begin. The Enneagram is an illuminating system that helps us realize our personality patterns, defense mechanisms, and potential gifting. Discovering your own type offers powerful insights for transformation, while learning about all the types offers a greater understanding of the human condition which can be beneficial for relational harmony.

Cross-referencing the Enneagram with astrology offers and expansive yet highly detailed perspective.
Enneagram Basics
Core Type
Your core type is indicative of deepest fears, motivations & highest potential
WINGS & LINES
Wings and lines of connection may influence your core type to varying degrees
TRIFIX
The combination of your head, heart, and gut types creates a unique trifix
instinctual type
The instinctual types – self preservation, social & sexual – also impact your personality
There are 9 core types and 27 trifixes
(but that's just the beginning)
One of the beauties of the Enneagram is both the simplicity and nuance available within the system.
At the deepest level, most of us will primarily identify with the motivations, fears, and protective patterns of one core type. This realization can point us toward our highest level of purpose, as each type has a special virtue and lost idea to be recovered.
But humans are complex creatures! We don't simply sit at one type point and call it a day — as the diagram depicts, we move this way and that from our core type, whether leaning into our neighboring wing types, following our lines of connection, or accessing the dominant type (fixation) in each of our centers of intelligence (gut, head, heart). The combination of your three primary type fixations is often known as your Trifix.
Additionally, most of us have a primary instinctual focus that often influences our priorities and colors the way we view and respond to catalysts.
Sound complicated? If you're new to the Enneagram, it can seem a lot to take in at first. But it's worth it! As a certified Enneagram teacher, I'm here to help walk you through anything that doesn't click right away.
Most people begin by taking a test (here's a link to my favorite test and a site with a wealth of amazing info!). From there, we can look at your birth chart to help connect the dots and identify focal areas for growth. ✦
Astrology Basics
Planets
Planets (sun, moon, Mars, etc.) are like the characters in your chart, signifying actions and reactions
SIGNS
Signs (Aries, Taurus, etc.) are like costumes or adjectives, describing various energetic qualities
HOUSES
Houses (or sectors) are like the stage or setting, indicating the area of life that's impacted
ASPECTS
Aspects (conjunctions, trines, etc.) tell us about the tension or harmony between planets
Hey baby, what's your sign? : )
In addition to your sun sign, did you know that your moon sign and rising sign are super impactful too? And that's not all!
Learning your unique "Big 3" placements can begin to shed some light as to why some people may not fully resonate with their sun sign — plus, there's even more to explore! Your natal chart captures a snapshot of the sky at the moment of your birth, showing where the sun, moon, and other celestial bodies were positioned in the sky, whether above or below the horizon.
The study of astrology was once synonymous with astronomy, with added emphasis on interpretation. Ancient stargazers began to observe correlations between the heavens and earth (similar to studying the impact of weather patterns). The
signs of the zodiac were designated to mark the 12 lunar cycles of the sun's yearly progression through the seasons. Corresponding sectors of the chart signify various areas of life, based on its related sign, planetary ruler, and position relative to the horizon.
Planets and signs carry energetic imprints, while their alignment and placement influences the way they present and interact. And the area of the sky they travel through impacts certain areas of life, much like the seasons. These placements and aspects offer fascinating insight to our own personalities and events — this is often characterized by the sayings, "As above, so below" and "As within, so without."
You might ask, as I have many times... "But, how!?" It's a great question, to which I can only respond: "I don't know!" Theories abound; some cite synchronicity or meaningful coincidence, while others believe in a more causal relationship. There are many mysteries in life — some of which, we've come a long way in explaining, but many of which remain inexplicable. And yet, we often have a deep resonance with things we can't see nor fully understand. Why not check it out for yourself? ✦

Why Enneastrology?
Harmonizing the systems provides greater insights, typing confirmation & additional wisdom for growth.
While theories of 1-to-1 correlations between the Enneagram and astrology have been proposed, I do not personally approach Enneastrology in this way (though I do find the ideas fascinating).
What I've seen first-hand is that Enneagram typing is indeed evident in natal charts. After observing many charts of people who know their Enneagram typing well, this working notion continues to hold water: astrology not only supports typing, but offers another level of understanding and harmonizes beautifully.
With the increased popularity of the Enneagram, many people have taken an online quiz and accepted their typing, without realizing that initial test results are often incorrect, or at least incomplete. They may miss out on the complexity and benefits of the system and all it offers.
Enneastrology is not about a label, but for people who want to understand their patterns on a deeper level and more expansive context. Paradoxically, identifying our fixations can help us loosen fixed perceptions of ourselves and others, often resulting in much-needed empathy and acceptance.
Energy & Intuitive Arts
Energy can be defined in a multitude of ways. In relation to Enneastrology, I think of it as the mysterious force that flows and connects with the power to transform.
REIKI
A tool for promoting relaxation & health through sharing energy.
intuitive arts
Tapping into intuition through media such as artwork, cards, writing, etc.
CHakras
Energetic centers in our bodies corresponding to areas of life/health.
meditation
A state of presence with an accepting, observational disposition.

A little about me → Since childhood, I've been fascinated by the mysterious. I began to discover that looking high enough and deep enough for long enough often yielded glimpses of unveiled possibilities. In a word, I'm curious. Curious about origins and spirituality and life: Why are we here? Is everything connected? What matters most? What now? My journey has been full of twists and turns, revelations and dead ends, frustration and awe. In the process, I've explored many theories and modalities, some of which have been immensely helpful for my growth and healing. And now, I'd love to share all of this with you. I'm so glad you're here!
